| There
is something timeless about walking the plains of Africa, a dog at your
side and a stout stick to assist and protect. Just so did our ancestors
walk across these self-same fields, accosted by the same smells and subject
to the same sounds. Mount Melsetter is a veritable treasure chest of hidden
vantage points, bends in the river and secluded corners. Inaccessible by
road, the only way to exlore the nature and extent of these refuges is by
foot. Mike and/or Candy are always ready to accompany one and point out
the interesting features, identify a plant or a bird or just provide conversation. |
